Shahnoza Eshonova - English teacher at the Kontakt International School in Isfara, Tajikistan

Participating in the C5 + O.N.E. Ed program in Kazakhstan was an inspiring and eye-opening journey. I discovered new, practical approaches to teaching English, especially in student-centered learning, project-based activities, and the use of digital tools to make lessons more engaging and meaningful for students.
I am sincerely grateful to the program trainers for the opportunity to learn from them, especially my homeroom trainers, Mr. Hector (Hector Aroldo Alvarado Soto - Guatemala) and Ms. Zoe (Zoe Dajani Matthews - UK).
A standout moment for me was the “Games and Tools” club led by Mr. Ivan Quinteros (Guatemala). His energy, creativity, and hands-on activities reminded me of the joy and effectiveness of interactive learning. It showed how simple games can transform the classroom into a space of motivation and real communication.
What I appreciated most was the opportunity to interact with fellow educators from across Central Asia. Sharing experiences and exchanging ideas helped me see our common goals and challenges from new perspectives. This dialogue sparked fresh inspiration and strengthened my belief in regional collaboration.
Since the training, my approach to teaching has become more flexible and reflective. I focus more on learner autonomy, creativity, and real-world communication. I also gained confidence in my leadership and communication skills, and became more open to innovation both in and out of the classroom.
I’m now applying what I learned by mentoring colleagues, leading workshops, and gradually transforming my own teaching practices. The C5 + O.N.E. Ed program didn’t just give me tools — it gave me a renewed sense of purpose and a supportive community of passionate educators.
