The C5+ONE Ed Program was the first international program I applied to seriously, and honestly, I never imagined that I would actually be selected. However, life sometimes surprises us in the most beautiful ways.
When I received the congratulatory email, no one was happier than I was. That moment became a turning point in my life. It strengthened my confidence, inspired me to learn more, and motivated me to contribute actively to my community. For the first time, I truly felt that my dreams and efforts were being recognized.
I was so inspired by the opportunity that I shared the application form with many of my university friends, hoping they would also apply. One of them, Sarvinoz Tulanboyeva, was selected as well. Surprisingly, her acceptance brought me even more happiness than my own because it showed me the power of encouraging and uplifting others.

The first online call of the C5+ONE Ed Program took place in January. I still remember how excited I was while sharing my hopes and expectations about the project. Even during the online phase, I began connecting with Uzbek participants. One of them, Rayhon Begmatova, reached out to exchange thoughts and discuss our experiences throughout the program. Those conversations later became meaningful friendships.
The program also gave me my very first experience abroad in Almaty. It influenced me not only professionally, but also personally. The facilitators from Homeroom, Michael Griffin and Zulfiya Ainabayeva, as well as our afternoon class facilitators, Roger Ramirez and Paola Gonzalez, worked closely with us and shared valuable knowledge and practical teaching approaches that I continue to use in my classrooms today.
At the beginning of the third phase, I was hesitant and unsure whether I would be able to cope with the responsibilities ahead. I viewed professional development sessions as a burden and a serious obligation. However, after conducting my very first PD session, my confidence grew tremendously. My perspective completely changed: I no longer saw PD as a responsibility, but as an opportunity for growth, leadership, and impact.
Later, with the support of Svetlana Khan, I organized my second PD session together with Rayhon Begmatova. That experience became another transformative step in my professional journey. It allowed me to grow not only as an educator, but also as a collaborator and community member.

Inspired by the confidence, skills, and international exposure I gained through the C5+ONE Ed Program, I later applied for the Fulbright TEA Program. Competing among more than 1,000 applicants, I successfully passed three selection stages and became one of only five selected participants at that stage of the process. For me, this achievement was not only personal success, but also evidence of how transformative educational opportunities can empower young educators to believe in their potential and aim higher.
Most importantly, this program gave me lifelong friendships. Aziza Naimova and Rayhon Begmatova have become like sisters to me. The connections, support, and memories we built together are among the most valuable parts of this experience.

I am deeply grateful to the organizers and everyone behind the C5+ONE Ed Program for giving me such a life-changing opportunity. For me, C5+ONE Ed is not only a professional development program - it is a family, a source of inspiration, and a journey that continues to shape who I am today.
